Nigerian Government Agrees To Pay Salaries Of Private School Teachers Owed During COVID-19 Lockdown

Update: Nigerian Government Agrees To Pay Salaries Of Private School Teachers Owed During The COVID-19 Lockdown – Mentorslinks.com Reports!

The President of Private School Owners Association, Yomi Otubela, has revealed that the Federal Government of Nigeria has accepted to pay salaries of private school teachers owed during the lockdown caused by Coronavirus.

The President of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, Yomi Otubela, says the Federal government has agreed to pay the salaries of private school teachers that are being owed by their school management since the lockdown started in March.

A number of private school teachers have come out to cry for help as they have not been paid by their management since March when schools were shut down due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The school management insists they cannot pay salaries since they have also not made money by way of school fees.

Speaking on TVC on Monday morning, July 13, Otubela said the association forwarded a proposal to the Economic Sustainability Committee headed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, for the government to pay the salaries of the private school owners and that an approval has been granted to the proposal by the Federal Executive Council.

”We have written to the Federal government to understand that these teachers are teaching Nigerian children and that they need to keep them and their families together during the lockdown.

So the Federal government has listened to our request. We requested that the teachers salaries in private schools should be taken over by the government during the months of the lockdown.

We also requested for a single digit loan for private schools to cushion the effect of the COVID19.

We requested for support for schools that have existing loans, that they (FG) should liase on our behalf with the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN and CBN will liase with commercial banks and other financial institutions to ensure that they give them soft landing in terms of moratorium to repay and deduction in the interest loan.

The Federal government has approved that they will take over the payment of teachers salaries.

The proposal was sent to the Economic Sustainability Committee headed by the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and it was approved by the Federal Executive Council.

We are already talking to them to know the modalities for the disbursement”.

He however pointed out that it is only private schools registered under its association that will benefit from the Federal government’s bailout.

Nothing Will Change In Nigeria Even If ‘Jesus’ Becomes President – Charles Awuzie

South African based Nigerian Man and Social Media Influencer, Charles Awuzie, had revealed that “Even if Jesus becomes the president of Nigeria, nothing will change in Nigeria 🇳🇬.”

Here’s What He Wrote;

“The reason is simple – Leadership is not our problem, we are not honest people…. We weren’t RAISED to be honest…

Please calm down, I am a full blooded Nigerian and I know what I am saying…. We are SUCCESS-DRIVEN, not honesty-driven.
Here are my reasons…

  1. Our parents registered us in SPECIAL CENTERS to write WAEC AND JAMB – a special center is an examination center where exam malpractice is legally allowed. Most of the fools who attack my posts are products of Special Centers hence I block them because their minds are blocked from high school.

  1. Our parents taught us how to tell lies on their behalf…. Our parents would be in their room and tell us that if someone visits, we should tell them that they are not home…. The Bible says TRAIN UP A CHILD IN THE WAY HE SHOULD AND WHEN HE GROWS, HE WILL NOT DEPART FROM IT…

we were trained to LIE FOR PEOPLE WE LOOK UP TO…. this explains why Nigerians defend conspiracy theories and other lies told by their religious parents… They were raised to be dishonest for their parents. It’s called covering your father’s nakedness…. Oh, what a wicked covering that has covered our national glory.

  1. We believe deeply that CORRUPTION is God’s favor upon our lives.
Let me tell this untold story 😢…
I produced a herbal tea which can help Nigeria to fight Covid-19.

I believe that I became the first Nigerian to produce an Artemisia based herbal supplement for this season…. It’s 100% herbal and currently used in Southern Africa to cure symptoms of flu etc. I branded the product with Nigerian national colors 🇳🇬 out of my patriotic heart (let me not mention that every property that has my name in SA bears Nigeria’s national colors too because I’m very patriotic to Nigeria)….

But guess what…? When it was time to roll out the products in the Nigerian market, I discovered that all the righteous ways to get my product in the market were almost blocked or too expensive to process… And I was given BACK DOOR OPTIONS… that’s corruption and I decided to rather forego the Nigerian market than to embrace corruption as FAVOR.

When corruption favors a Nigerian, he testifies that he’s favored… We must learn how to DECLINE SOME FAVORS if we must progress as a nation.

If we don’t embrace a progressive mindset, we will soon become the Zoo Nnamdi Kanu calls us and even if Jesus becomes our president, nothing will still change.

True change starts with YOU AND ME, not the president. Maranatha.”

— Charles Awuzie.

“Shame on Desperate Nigerians… One girl woke up one morning and decided to start a Facebook page and branded herself as a witch doctor…

“Her page grew with thousands of followers…
She sells them This bottle of Oil to attract luck to their business at $103, R1720 or N40, 000 PER BOTTLE.
