Sad enough, it has been confirmed that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu – leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB (most peaceful secession group in the world), had lost his father, His Royal Majesty (HRM) Eze Israel Okwu Kanu (JP) to the cold hand of death, after losing his mother, Lolo Ugoeze Nnenne Kanu on the 30th of August 2019.
- Recall that, on 1st November 2019 the shocking news about the demise of his father was making waves on several media platforms, but the leadership of the group debunked it.
Nnamdi Kanu’s late father, Eze Israel Okwu-Kanu, is the traditional ruler of Isiama Afara Ukwu: a community in Umuahia, the Capital city of Abia State, the Eastern part of Nigeria.
Eze Kanu reportedly died on October 31, 2019, at Federal Medicare Centre, Umuahia where he has been at the intensive care unit for two weeks.
Oh…This must be a very difficult time for the Okwu-Kanu’s family now as he (Nnamdi Kanu) IPOB leader recently announced the death of his mother, Ugoeze Sally Okwu-Kanu, who died in Germany after a protracted illness.
May their souls find eternal rest in paradise.
