Meanwhile, last week this transpired in Abuja Nigeria during the trending nationwide #EndSARS protest.
As the protesters were approaching a traffic warden, he got scared and thinking they were coming to harm him and wanted to run away.
Guess what! The protesters stopped him, and told him he didn’t need to run as they have also been victims of #SARS and #PoliceBrutality and that’s what they’re fighting against.
The peaceful ‘unarmed’ protesters crowded him, gave him drinks, food, fruits, groundnuts, took selfies with him, and told him that they see all their great efforts.
Shortly after they left, he bent over shyly and shed a couple of tears.
In the voice of the protesters, “What a time to be a Nigerian! A new Nigeria is possible. We are proud of my generation. We’re changing the narratives.”
Below are photos from the scene.
Till date, Nigerians are still chanting – #EndPoliceBrutality.
