Nigerian Govt reportedly using DSS and Police to arrest #EndSARS Protest frontliners

Emerging reports reaching our news desk has it that the Federal Government of Nigeria has allegedly commenced the arrest of youths who were frontliners during the nationwide #EndSARS protest.

After a tweet from controversial and investigative Nigerian Journalist, Kemi Olunloye went viral today, another Delta State’ activist who is the Director General of Behind Bars Initiative (BBI), Gwamnishu Harrison Emefiena has made similar revelation.

In his exact statement;

“If you were involved in #EndSARS protest, be careful of calls you receive. If anyone calls you on phone and tell you to come and take or collect something, please don’t go. The police and DSS are out there picking #EndSARS protesters.

“Your family and friends can be used as a SOFT TARGET. This means, they can get your relatives/friends phone numbers from your network provider and used them to fish you out. They will also get your frequently dialled numbers, track them and later used them to get you.”

Stating further, Gwamnishu Harrison Emefiena said;

“If we get swallowed up, the #EndSARS protesters were never part of any destruction or killings.

“The Government should not pretend to dialogue with us, yet secretly demolizing and freezing account of youths that participated in a lawful peaceful protest.”
