Justice Chioma Nwosu-Iheme regains freedom after 2weeks of abduction

Justice Chioma Nwosu-Iheme (Nee Nwachukwu) of the Court Of Appeal, Benin City, Edo state has finally regained freedom from her kidnappers after payment of ransom.

Recall that, on Wednesday 30th October 2019: She was kidnapped by gunmen in Benin City where her police orderly of over 10 years was murdered at the scene.


Sources revealed that she was traveling back to Owerri when her vehicle was double crossed along the Benin – Agbor rd. The gunmen who killed her police orderly before the abduction was said to have trailed and intercepted her Jeep along Benin-Agbor road near Christ Choosen Church.


On eye witness account: “A Toyota Voltron car made up of four gunmen suddenly overtook the Judge’s car where they immediately opened fire, killing the police orderly on the spot. They then shot the tyre of the jeep forcing the driver to stop. The female judge was hurriedly whisked into the hoodlums car where she was taken to an unknown destination.”
