Coronavirus: Churchgoers Who Have Refused To Be Sensible, Are Not Only Endangering Their Lives But Those Of The General Public – Dan Okojie
It seems Nigerian Pentecostal pastors fear losing their income base more than Corona virus. They went into panic mode when the govt announced the ban on gatherings.
If God is everywhere, why is it necessary to congregate thousands of people in a hall and risking their lives in the process especially in times of epidemics?
In Exodus 12:13, when God sent plagues to Egypt, the Bible describes the spirit of death, passing over homes with the mark of the blood. This means quarantining one’s self and family [in your home], is expressly biblical especially in times of crises and pandemics, so as to protect you from harm.
“The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.”
By defying Government directives aimed at protecting lives, David Oyedepo and his minions have demonstrated that their brand of Christianity is about money and not the well-being of people.
I call on the Government to arrest him and others who behave irresponsibly in this particularly difficult time. He can’t obey same instruction in America and Europe by locking up his branches over there, but disregard Nigerian government directives.
And to you churchgoers who have refused to be sensible, you are not only endangering your lives but those of the general public. You deserve to be taught a bitter lesson.
