When you calm down, it slows down your brain waves, which rejuvenates the brain’s chemistry and gives rise to a relaxed state of mind needed for a deeper judgment.
Here are 5 Ways to CALM DOWN in a time of inner anxiety or panic….
1.Take a deep breath.
“The first thing to do when you get anxious is to breathe,”
If you read a post that looks like an attack against you or someone you respect, take a deep breath.
If you read a post that looks like a heresy, don’t panic, take a deep breath. It slows down your brain waves, rejuvenating your brain chemistry and thus allowing you to make a deeper judgment.
- Accept that you’re anxious.
Question your thoughts or interpretation
Be an observer — without judgment.
To make better judgment, you must be a person who observes first with neutrality. Don’t form an opinion quickly. Just observe calmly.
Block the source of your anxiety…
If someone’s posts on social media is causing you sleepless nights, just block them. If someone’s comment steals your peace, don’t argue, just block the person. Prioritize your inner peace by blocking the source of your anxiety.
When you master the art of securing your inner peace by calming down, you will increase your brain capacity to Make more intelligent decisions.
